Broken World. Real Hope.
After walking through the consequences of sin and the brokenness it brought into the world—shame, distance from God, and pain—we see something surprising: God’s response isn’t just punishment, it’s protection and a plan. By keeping Adam and Eve from the tree of life, God is actually preserving the possibility of redemption instead of locking humanity into brokenness forever. God’s plan ultimately leads to Jesus, who makes a way back to Him. The takeaway is simple but powerful: the world is broken, but there is real hope, and it’s found in choosing to trust and follow Jesus.

- What are some things you’ve been hoping for lately? Are they actually lasting?
- Where do you see brokenness showing up most in your life right now?
- How does understanding the “fall” change how you view pain and suffering?
- Why do you think God prevented Adam and Eve from accessing the tree of life?
- What stands out to you about God’s response—justice, mercy, or both?
- What does it mean to “choose” Jesus in a real, everyday sense?
- Where might you be drifting instead of staying connected to God?
- What would it look like this week to “abide” or stay close to Him?
APPLY IT:
- Be honest about where life feels broken instead of ignoring it.
- Stop expecting the world to fully satisfy you—it was never meant to.
- Recognize that not everything bad is God’s doing—some of it is the result of a broken world.
- Make a clear decision about what you believe about Jesus.
- If you’ve already made that decision, don’t drift—stay connected daily.
- Build simple habits: prayer, reading, and being around people who push you toward God.
- When life feels chaotic, go back to the source of hope instead of trying to control everything.
- Live with eternity in mind—it changes how you handle today.
